CoombabahGold Coast Suburb Profile
Coombabah borders the Coomera River and the tidal wetlands known as Coombabah Lakes Nature Reserve. It particularly popular with retirees and is also a family orientated suburb with an abundance of parks, wildlife and easy river access.
The word Coombabah translates to meaning 'home of the turtles'.
There are many dry lots in Coombabah and most are just a short walk to Coombabah Creek, however, there are also a lot of lake and riverfront homes. Lining the creek there are fibro shacks used by holiday makers 40 to 50 years ago.
