Pacific Fair Shopping Centre
Pacific Fair Shopping Centre has become the one-stop shop for fashionistas visiting and living on the Gold Coast for some retail therapy. The stylish shopping precinct received a $670 million facelift making it the fourth-largest shopping centre in Australia. There are around 420 new stores with many Australian retailers as well as International high end retailers setting up shop. With a cinema, massive open-air seating area surrounded by water features, restaurants and a funky gourmet food court, you can spend all day in this entertainment precinct buying up a storm, window shopping or dining out in style.

The Oasis shopping centre operates at a slower pace than Pacific Fair, but you'll still be able to find everything to make your stay in Broadbeach comfortable. There are fashion, homewares, accessories, and jewellery stores alongside doctors, hairdressers and dentists. There are also all the services you need like Australia Post, ATMs, florists, liquor stores and Woolworths.

There's boutique shopping and services like hairdressers located at smaller centres like The Oracle Boulevard, Niecon Plaza and along the Broadbeach Mall.

Broacbeach markets

Don't miss the beachfront Art and Craft markets -  a colourful affair with over 150 friendly store owners selling wonderful gifts, souvenirs, local art, jewellery, crafts and lots more. Shop some local  produce or handcrafted pieces  and then hit the waves for a swim and a surf. The markets have been running for 20 years and are always a hit with visitors looking to snap up something a little bit different.

Award-winning resturants like Kiyomi, led by acclaimed Executive Chef Chase Kojima on the mezzanine level within The Star Gold Coast, embodies culinary perfection and the Gold Coast's vibrant dining scene. Social Eating House is a fine dining restaurant that takes you on a journey over three floors. Events

Calling Broadbeach home are the two of the Gold Coast's biggest venues, the Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre and The Star Gold Coast (formerly Jupiters Casino) with panoramic views of the suburb. These two drawcards ensure the suburb stays one of the busiest in South East Queensland. It also helps that Broady (as it's known to locals) has become a foodie and events destination.

Transcending the barriers of age, gender and culture, the Blues on Broadbeach festival is a free, non-ticketed event that takes over Broadbeach every year. Spanning four huge days in May, it has become one of Australia's most iconic Blues festivals, attracting fans and artists from around the world and putting Broadbeach on the events scene map. It is also the largest free music festival in Australia.

You could gamble the night away at the craps table at The Star 24-hour casino but then again you could also visit one of the 5 bars or enjoy live music at the Atrium Bar on Tuesday, Friday or Saturday night. Sundays in the Garden (at Garden Kitchen & Bar) are where the pretty people of the GC go to while away their Sundays on the lawn while drinking, dancing and flirting along to live tunes.

Broadbeach offers clubbers a more grown-up vibe than what you find in Surfers Paradise. Many of the clubs and bars here offer bottle service, private tables and full VIP packages. You'll want to make sure you're on the guest list at late-night clubs like Atrium and Platinum. On the other end of the spectrum, if you're after a quiet night out, the Broadbeach Tavern is the perfect place for catching up with friends over a drink or some delicious breakfast items the next morning!
