Broadbeach Surf Carnival

The Kurrawa Surf Life Saving Club was formed in 1958 and since then has gone on to become one of the most competitive clubs in Australia. 

The Kurrawa Surf Life Saving Club in Broadbeach host a number of surf carnivals (competitions) throughout the season. These carnivals see people of all ages, including Surf Life Savers, compete in water, beach and lifesaving events. There's also IRB Racing, Surf Boat races, March Past and Pool Rescue competitions. 

For those not competing there is a big spectator culture with the carnivals attracting big crowds of Broadbeach residents and visitors. Relax in the sun while watching some of the best athletes on the coast achieve victory.
