Gold Coast Universities
With three major universities offering World-Class education, the Gold Coast is a wonderful place to study. Thousands of international students enrol in a Gold Coast university each year, though the city is also popular among Australian school-leavers and mature-age students from other Queensland areas and interstate.
The opportunities for an active social life and being close to beaches and other recreational areas while on time off from study is also very appealing, especially to the younger generation. The Gold Coast is an exciting city with plenty to see and do, so it's no surprise that our universities receive many international and interstate students. For this reason, there is an abundance of student accommodation options with both Bond and Griffith Universities offering on-campus accommodation.
There are three universities on the Gold Coast and various TAFE campuses.
Bond University
Australia's first and largest private university, Bond University operates three, 14-week semesters each year. Most students complete a six-semester Bachelor's Degree in just two years. Located in Robina, Bond has particularly good business, law and psychology schools, as well as a full range of other courses on offer. The student-to-teacher ratio is lower, creating a more effective learning environment.
Students can choose between diploma, bachelor, graduate diploma, masters or PhD courses in business, health sciences, humanities and social sciences, information technology, medicine and law. Bond University also has an accredited, on-campus English language institute.
Bond University also has on-campus accommodation options for students, though there are numerous off-campus options close to the University including Varsity Towers and Chancellor Lakeside Apartments.
