With Con-x-ion, you can be assured to travel safely in comfortable, modern coaches. The 50-seat maxi-coaches have built-in luggage containers and the mini coaches (for up to 21 passengers) place all luggage in a trailer, which means you aren't sacrificing legroom. You can also get a transfer to the theme parks during your stay.

Limousine Transfers

Starting from $180 from Brisbane Airport to your accommodation at Surfers Paradise or Broadbeach, a sedan limousine (takes 4 people) is often better value than a taxi! You can also be sure you'll end up right at your door (not a train station) and you'll get there in comfort (rather than an hour on the bus). You can also be sure you'll end up right at your door (not a train station) and you'll get there in comfort rather than in cramped conditions on the bus. You can also be sure there will be someone waiting at the airport when you arrive so you won't have to join any queues.

Taxi Transfers

As with almost any airport around the world, you can hail a taxi at the taxi ranks near the arrivals gate to take you to your hotel. Coming from Brisbane though, this can turn into a fairly expensive cab fair. A taxi to the northern end of the Gold Coast will cost you at least $165, $250 to Main Beach and if you're heading south to Coolangatta you can expect to pay at least $320. A train or transfer is much more affordable alternative.

Airtrain between Brisbane Airport and Gold Coast

Book Brisbane Airport Transfer

The train service from Brisbane to Gold Coast is another popular option and is generally pretty affordable, with the ability to take from the airport as far south as the Varsity Lakes station. The trains are comfortable enough with air conditioning and usually some space for luggage. The travel time is around 60-80 minutes depending on which station you are travelling to or from.

A one-way train ticket price from Brisbane Airport to the Gold Coast ranges from $29.40 to $38.10 per adult, depending on which Gold Coast train station you want to get to (and vise versa).

There are six train stations on the Gold Coast at the following locations:

  • Ormeau
  • Coomera
  • Helensvale
  • Nerang
  • Robina
  • Varsity Lakes

The train line runs down the western side of the coast and each station is a 10-15 min (or $20-$35) taxi ride from the beach where most of the accommodation is. Buses are also available from the train stations and will cost roughly between $5 and $20 depending on where you want to go, but may not stop near your hotel. The Gold Coast Light Rail G:Link tram is now connected to the Helensvale train station to get you to Southport, Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach.

You can also use your Go-Card to pay for your fairs, which can be used on any public transport system in South East Queensland.
