The Gold Coast Airport is an domestic airport located in Coolangatta, at the very bottom of the city - in fact it's right on the border with NSW. The major Australian domestic carriers, Qantas and Virgin Blue, both fly in and out many times a day, and Freedom Air and Australian Airlines also run regular services to and from Australia and New Zealand, Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore (via Cairns International Airport).

Rental Cars
You can get a rental car from the airport, but we recommend you book your Gold Coast rental car in advance
Limousines
A sedan limousine with your own chauffer will get you to or from your accommodation in Surfers Paradise, Broadbeach or Main Beach for around $60, which is often cheaper than a taxi. A seven seat stretch limo will cost around $110 one way.

Will cost you about $55 to get to Surfers Paradise
Parking
Short term parking is pretty cheap and costs about $3 for the first half hour, $6 for two hours and roughly a dollar for each hour after that. Long term parking is about $12 per day. (Prices are of course subject to change without notice). They're pretty quick to fine you if you park where you shouldn't as well.
Facilities
All the usual stuff is there - currency exchange, public telephones, toilets, trolleys, long taxi queues etc.
