Sunday Sounds at Sanctuary Cove

Event Description

Sunday Sounds at Sanctuary Cove continues into winter with the July program set to warm up the afternoon with quality live music all afternoon and free activities for the kids.

Relax and let the music move you in the laidback atmosphere with live entertainment under the marquee from 1pm until 6pm in The Marine Village on Sunday 26 July.

Kicking off the day’s free musical entertainment at 1pm is Gold Coast native singer, songwriter and musician Candice Skjonnemand who shot to national fame with her searing vocals and engaging performances as part of Team Kylie in the 2014 season of television juggernaut The Voice.

Following Candice is a classic double header from 4pm with the dynamic trio The Lion’s Den and light classical knockouts Popera in an afternoon of music to delight all ages.

Daniel Mallari, Joel Gonzales and Lloyd Saniel from The Lion’s Den use spectacular harmonies reminiscent of the celebrated DooWop vocal groups of the 1950s with a fun, high energy tribute guaranteed to have crowds laughing, crying, singing and snapping their fingers to the beat.

Popera’s melodies from the world of opera, operetta, musical theatre and crossover hits share the excitement, passion and romance of a bygone classical era with a contemporary appeal akin to the stylings of artists such as Amici, Josh Groban, Andrea Bocelli and Il Divo.

Relax and soak up atmospheric Sunday Sounds with friends and family, great music and plenty of free entertainment including face painting and a jumping castle, guaranteed to shake off any winter blues.
