Sunday Sounds at Sanctuary Cove

Event Description

Sunday Sounds will be happening under the marquee in The Marine Village on Sunday 21st June, maintaining its status as a must-do weekend family event with quality live music all afternoon and free activities for the kids.

Kicking off the day’s free musical entertainment at 1pm is local favourite performer, singer/songwriter and pianist Alex Fietz. Heading the bill from 4pm will be the nouveau swing stylings of The Calibre Cats featuring some of the finest musicians in Brisbane and fronted by the sexy lead vocals of Bridget ‘Dollface’ Burnell.

Incorporating swing, jazz, neo swing, swing nouveau and anything in and around classic lindy-hoppin’ grooves of the 30s and 40s, the Cats will delight jumpers and jivers of all ages and are sure to have the Sanctuary Cove crowd off their seats and dancing into the sunset.

Relax and soak up atmospheric Sunday Sounds with great music and plenty for free entertainment for the whole family including face painting and an interactive jumping castle.
