Sanctuary Cove's 'Winter Wine' Festival

Event Description

Food and wine lovers are invited to indulge in a rich sensory experience at Sanctuary Cove’s inaugural Winter Wine festival, showcasing premium Australian and international winemakers and producers across three days of wine tasting and appreciation events, live entertainment and fine dining.

From Friday to Sunday, August 12 - 14, the event will see wine enthusiasts escape the winter chill as they embrace the most decadent spoils of the season, with The Marine Village hosting a range of informative and entertaining wine-appreciation style presentations and tastings in its specially-themed pop-up precinct on the Village Green titled ‘The Vineyard’. Take a journey around the Marine Village ‘Wine Trail’ with a selection of wine tastings hosted by incredible wineries and suppliers across the precinct’s finest restaurants.

Highlighting the full spectrum of wines – from full-bodied reds created for fireside conversation, to sparkling champagnes hinting at the celebratory spirit of Sanctuary Cove itself – the wintry affair will also include a special guest panel on Saturday and Sunday, that will see a selection of experts and wine makers take part in discussions on all things wine.

Bringing together a number of celebrated winemakers and experts, the Winter Wine festival will see Rauri Donkin of renowned Hunter Valley winery Bimbadgen Estate, Danniel Amadio of Amadio Wines, InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort head sommelier David Stevens-Castro, and champagne expert, wine writer and commentator Ken Gargett among others share their passion and knowledge for how to select the perfect drop at a series of informative and entertaining presentations across the three-day event.
