Sanctuary Cove Festival

Back to Events

Event Description

The Marine Village Sanctuary Cove will erupt in celebration this weekend as it hosts the inaugural Sanctuary Cove Festival – a full day of free entertainment and attractions featuring classic and luxury cars, world-class boats, fabulous live music and delicious food on Sunday October 4.

With attractions spread throughout The Marine Village precinct, the Sanctuary Cove Festival will run from 10am through to the 6.30pm fireworks finale, featuring live music on the Village Green and Docks Stages throughout the day.

Be sure to take prime position at 10.30am as a marching band makes its way through The Marine Village to signal the ‘Blessing of the Fleet’ – a tradition that is intended to ensure a safe and bountiful boating season to all marine vessels.

Spectators will marvel at the festive sight of colourfully decorated boats congregated at the Sanctuary Cove Marina for the annual blessing, before revelling in the schedule of fun and frivolity to round out the afternoon.
