Pay it Forward - Monday Night Movies
A young boy stumbles upon a simple way to change the world in this drama. Trevor is a bright 11-year-old boy who comes from a troubled home and begins seventh grade in Las Vegas, where his social studies teacher gives the class an assignment to devise and put into action a plan that will change the world for the better.
Trevor's plan is a charitable program based on the networking of good deeds. He calls his plan "Pay It Forward", which means the recipient of a favour does a favour for three others rather than paying the favour back. However, it needs to be a major favour that the receiver can't complete themselves.
Meanwhile, journalist Chris Chandler finds himself stuck on the road without a car late one night when a man stops and give him the keys to a new car, asking him only to pay the favour forward to someone else; astonished, Chris wants to find out where this philosophy came from.
Chandler finally identifies Trevor as the originator of "pay it forward" and conducts a recorded interview in which Trevor describes his hopes and concerns for the project. Soon it becomes evident that hundreds of people have participated in the "pay it forward" movement.
Questions and answers will follow the movie session with a our special GUEST SPEAKER.
