NDIS Information Session Down Syndrome Qld

Back to Events

Event Description

We are holding an information session for families who have a child with Down syndrome at the Benevolent Society, 255 Old Coach Road, Upper Coomera.

This free, interactive information session will provide an opportunity for families to ask questions about NDIS.

By the end of the session, participants will have a good understanding around the aims of the NDIS, the terminology used, what 'reasonable and necessary' actually means, types of supports and plan management as well as goals- all of which is crucial for the outcome of a good plan!

We also have our Youth and Adult support worker coming along to talk to any youth and adults with Down Syndrome about the NDIS. Please feel bring along any family members with Down Syndrome who would like to know more about the NDIS and how it could benefit them.
