Event Description

The Great Strides Walk raises awareness and funds for cystic fibrosis organisations around Australia.

Join us at Hollindale Park, Main Beach for a 3km and 6km walk on Sunday, 13th September 2015.  

Great Strides will be a fantastic day for the whole family with a sausage sizzle, face painting, coffee cart and raffles.

Bring a Friend and WIN
Know someone who has not participated in Great Strides in the last five years? Bring a friend and you'll go into the draw to WIN a fantastic prize. Your friend must register online by Friday, 11th September 2015 and tell us your name when filling out the registration form. 

When you take part in Great Strides, you help us raise money for vital services and programs that help to extend the lives of Queenslanders living with cystic fibrosis.

Event Times
7:30am  On-the-day registrations open
8:15am  3km and 6km walks start 


The 3km and 6km courses are on the sand heading north to the sandpumping jetty and the same on return. Federation Walk is a path that runs parallel to the beach and is pram friendly. 


The 150 Club
150 Club members receive free event entry. To join the club simply fundraise $150 for Queenslanders living with cystic fibrosis and we'll refund your entry.

Community Picnic
After the race, LJ Hooker Nerang will be holding a community picnic with raffles, auctions and free face painting. Remember to bring some gold coins along for the sausage sizzle, raffle, and coffee or to make a donation. 


What to Wear
Red! There will be a prize for the best use of red on the day. Great Strides 2015 singlets are available for purchase online and at the event.
