Event Description

Creative arts and cultural festival celebrating the 1920's

Enjoy a Sunday afternoon of free live music, The Village Markets at Bond, creative workshops, local and regional cuisine, art and photography exhibits, roving performers, children’s entertainment, antique cars, 1920’s dancing and more on Bond University’s beautiful campus.

The golden age of jazz, swing and big band comes alive at the ADCO Amphitheatre with sensational live music from the fiendishly talented Woohoo Revue (Melbourne), Melissa Western performing her critically acclaimed ‘Oh Lady Be Good’ cabaret, Les Wilson’s Swing Force Big Band featuring Bec Whitehead, student group I Think Not, along with Charleston dancing demo's and classes by Empire Swing.

Roving performances by The Blenders Youth Chorus and A capella singers, Vocalescence.

Gallery spaces featuring stunning art and photography by Gold Spaces, Arthouse - a visual expression of inner passion, and students from the Soheil Abedian School of Architecture re-exhibiting the smash hit Speculator production.

The Gold Coast's first fashion market celebrates its fourth birthday month at Bond by the Lake!  The Village Markets has etched itself firmly in the hearts of Gold Coasters as a unique community hub of quality, lovingly and locally handcrafted products.

Celebrate the Great Gatsby era at the Long Lunch ... Enjoy an array of seasonal local and regional produce with matched wines prepared by celebrity chef, Simon Grigalius (My Kitchen Rules) based on a 'slow food' sustainability philosophy.  Simon will be sharing his passion for local produce and sustainable food using fresh, locally sourced ingredients.

The Long Lunch is the only ticketed element of Bond by the Lake, and is limited to 100 people.  $39.50 per person, book online.

Come dressed up in Great Gatsby era glamour and revive the roaring twenties for a day!
