Indy Track in Surfers Paradise
Every year in October Surfers Paradise comes alive with motorsport fans and general party lovers as the Gold Coast Indy 300 screams through town. The whole place gets re-modelled, streets get closed off and a few hundred thousand people turn out (often in the rain) to watch V8 Supercars roar around town. While the original Indy carnival is no more, the Gold Coast is now home to the Armor All Gold Coast 600.
