Main Beach is attached to the main coastal peninsula stretching from Surfers Paradise to The Spit, but it's practically an island in itself and is surrounded on three sides by the Nerang River/Broadwater and then by the ocean on the east. The whole area is only about 1km square, but it's highly developed and includes plenty of parkland. Tedder Avenue is the third horizontal road from the bottom.
