Paradise Resort in Surfers Paradise is probably the most family-friendly resort on the Gold Coast. Their well-renowned kids club and brilliant facilities for infants, toddlers, kids and teenagers make it a popular choice among families and its location on a private island in the heart of Surfers Paradise is pretty hard to beat.

It's about a 5 to 10 minute walk from the surf however you might have trouble pulling yourself away from the fantastic lagoon pool and other facilities more than make up for the slight inconvenience.

The 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments are air-conditioned and fully self-contained. Like most Gold Coast apartments, the rooms in Paradise Island Resort are all owned by individual investors and managed by a company, so the good news is that the rooms have a bit more character than your average hotel and the staff are professionally trained, the downside is your interior decoration is subject to individual taste.

Paradise Island Resort is a reasonably new building, but ask for a recently renovated room if you can and you're more likely to get a wide screen TV.
