The Gold Coast Institute of TAFE (GCIT) is one of Australia's leading vocational education facilities. Courses have been designed in close consultation with business and industry ensuring industry-relevant skills and knowledge for our graduates. Graduates enter the workforce with relevant, practical skills. Graduates choosing to move into University studies from GCIT find themselves well-grounded in technical understanding, and ready to take on the higher level theory components of their chosen field of study.

The history of GCIT dates back to February 1976, with only four vocational courses and 269 students. In 2004 GCIT is one of the biggest TAFE Institutes in Queensland with four campuses, offering vocational courses and an enrolment of over 15,000 students.
