Things to do in Mount Tamborine
The Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk has you walking atop the rainforest canopy along 300 metres of a stable steel structured bridge. Elevating you 30 metres above tumbling creeks and rock pools, through 30 acres of beautiful rainforest habitat this eco-adventure is the longest canopy walk in Southeast Queensland.
The Crocodiles and Dragons Reptile Show will thrill kids and adults alike. Introducing you to everything from small turtles to non-venomous snakes and even a salt water croc, the show offers entertainment with a difference. Drop into the Bearded Dragon Boutique Hotel every Monday and Wednesday to catch the show.
Stop in at the Tamborine Mountain Visitor’s Centre to pick up a map and go hiking through any number of walking circuits in the national park. Just remember to bring plenty of water and a camera to catch the beautiful scenery that is our native Australian rainforests.

Thunderbird Park is an amazing wildlife and geological rich oasis stretching over 112 hectares on Tamborine Mountain. Events on the Mountain
- The Queensland Labour Day long weekend sees Mount Tamborine host the annual Garter Belts & Gasoline show; a celebration of the classic cars, music and fashion of the 1940s and 50s.
- The Tamborine Mountain Country Markets, held the second Sunday of every month at the Tamborine Mountain Showground, host over 200 stalls full of interesting things to see, try and buy. There is a wide variety of food and drink on offer too so you can keep shopping the whole way through.
- The Tamborine Mountain Scarecrow Festival will be held October 19th to the 21st this year with a display of several locally made scarecrows all competing for several prize categories. The weekend also involves street entertainment in Main Street and the Gallery Walk.
- The Tamborine Mountain Show is a weekend of family fun with something for everyone. Visit the Showgrounds Saturday the 22nd of September for around the clock entertainment, music, kid’s shows, equine events, fireworks and a scrumptious range of food and drinks.
- Tour De Tamborine is one of southeast Queensland’s premier charity sporting events. On Sunday 18th November this year people of all ages will either run, walk or cycle through the tranquil surrounds of Tamborine Mountain – all in support of charity.
