Bleach* Festival

Bleach* Festival

Bleach* Festival is the epitome of Gold Coast culture. The 17 day event brings concerts, film, theatre, and performing arts together for a celebration of lively arts and outdoor culture.

Every year musicians and creative artists come out in force throughout the Gold Coast. From iconic beaches to local townships, theatres and other unique venues, Bleach* Festival puts on a huge program of free and ticketed events.

Over its 3 year history the festival has brought more than 140,000 people to see almost a thousand artists and creatives in literally hundreds of events.

The opening weekend of the festival coincides with the Quicksilver & Roxy Pro, providing tourists with a cultural, off the water celebration.

Getting there

Since the Bleach* Festival takes place at a number of locations there is no one 'ideal' place for your Gold Coast accommodation.

If you’re not going to have a car while you’re staying here you should try to find accommodation either somewhere near the location of most of the events you want to attend, or find something central like Surfers Paradise so you can make use of public transport and regular taxis.

Bleach* Festival History

Bleach* is a relatively new festival that has only been running since 2012. A Connecting Southern Gold Coast initiative, the festival came about to celebrate all art forms kissed by the ocean while injecting life into the local businesses.

Supported by the State Government through Tourism & Events Queensland, much of the planning and events are a result of local volunteers and sponsors coming together to be a part of the festival. If you would like to be a part of the 2015 Bleach* Festival you can register your interest through the website.
